Welcome Parents and Family Members.
Disney College Program is a paid internship offering participants the opportunity to advance their strengths and interests, meet guests and cast members from around the world and take part in educational opportunities students can't get anywhere else. This truly unique program allows participants to network with leaders, take part in personal and career development classes, and build transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication.
We focus on providing access to all of the tools and resources students need to be knowledgeable and take advantage of all the opportunities we offer them during their Disney College Program experience.
Some of the resources available to participants include:
The safety of the participants living in our housing is our number-one priority. We have housed participants in our Programs for many years and continue to evaluate security needs and make appropriate enhancements as necessary.
We have developed Community Codes, which are guidelines for our participants living in our housing.
For safety reasons, security phone numbers are listed in the communal areas within the apartment and on the inside cover of the Program Guide each cast member receives when they arrive. All participants attend a mandatory Housing Welcome Session as a part of their check-in process. In this meeting, Leaders discuss the Community Codes, how and when to contact security, and our no-tolerance policies for underage drinking, drugs and weapons.
There is also a Programs Office to help participants who are experiencing challenges with work, as well as with roommates, co-workers, family members and friends.
Earthquake Preparedness - CaliforniaEarthquakes are not unfamiliar to the southern California area and can occur without notice.
Our Parks Communications teams and Carnegie Plaza Management (CIM) have a comprehensive Emergency Response and Communication Plan to provide immediate aid and information to our residents following an earthquake or any other unexpected emergency situation.
Hurricane Preparedness - FloridaHurricane season runs from June-November. Throughout the season, leaders work closely with local, county and state officials to monitor the progress of each storm. As the tropical systems continue to form and strengthen, our resort area follows five phases of hurricane preparedness. During each phase, more actions are initiated and precautions are taken.
You can rest assured that the safety and security of our participants are our top concern. Each decision we make is based on maintaining a safe environment for participants in the program.
